In 2009, our organizer Ravi Sahane inspired from the speech of honorable Mr. Raj Thackeray started a movement against the Bhaiyas. While the movement was going on one thing we observed that they used to sell the Karnatak’s hapus calling it as the Devgad or Ratnagiri’s hapus. As the original Devgad & Ratnagiri hapus are way costlier because of the pureness & the sweetness of it. That is why the Konkan based mango manufacturers causing huge loss in their business & the fraud with the customers.

Our organizer decided to start something in which there will be direct trade between the farmers to the customers thus the festival which provides an opportunity to all the mango lovers to buy the fruits directly from the farmers. The festival so called as “Maharashtra Maza Aamba Mahotsav”. From 2010 in some of major areas in Pune and Chinchwad nearly around 20 or more times the festival had been organized.

In the festival 30 t 40 Mango producers (farmers) from “Konkan” as well as the “Mahila Bachat Gat” enthusiastically takes part. People will get to buy the hapus and paayri from the Ratnagiri and Devgad of best quality grown naturally. This is going to be the 9th year of our “Maharashtra Maza Aamba Mahotsav” and with Pune & Chinchwad, this year we are going to organize the festival in Nashik also.
